Where does the news come from?

Directly from the official feeds of the Federal Reserve, ECB, Bank of England, Bank of Japan, Bank of Canada, RBA, RBNZ, SNB, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Bureau of Economic Analysis, the EIA and the White House. Every headline links to the original release.

How are the rate odds worked out?

They are the live prices of contracts on Kalshi and Polymarket, where traders bet real money on each outcome. A contract trading at 72 cents means the market gives that outcome about a 72% chance.

What does each release mean?

Tap any event in the calendar. You get what it measures, which way it tends to push the currency, and what prediction markets expect when a market exists.

Where do the typical moves come from?

Our own analysis. We lined up every high impact release since 2021 with minute by minute prices and measured how far each pair moved in the next 15 and 60 minutes, and how much of that move the surprise explained. It describes what happened before. It never predicts the next result.
